Getting started
How do I get sound?
- Connect an audio interface and plug your guitar into one of its inputs. Without an interface, use headphones and the built-in microphone.
- Open the I/O tab, choose the input your guitar is on and the output you listen on.
- Tap Start Audio.
Through the built-in speaker the microphone picks up its own sound and feeds back, so MoreMetal warns you and keeps the output muted until you connect headphones or an interface.
Why does it crackle?
The device can't keep up with the chain. In I/O, raise the buffer (64 or 128), set NAM blocks to A2-Lite, or remove blocks you don't use. The DSP figure on the Chain tab shows the load.
Can I use Bluetooth headphones?
Yes, for listening; turn on Bluetooth headphones in I/O. Bluetooth adds about 100–200 ms of delay, which is fine for practising along to songs but not for tight playing.
Tones and IRs
How do I load a tone from TONE3000?
Tap a NAM or Cab block, then Browse tones, and sign in to TONE3000. The tone you pick loads into that block. Downloaded tones work offline.
How do I import my own .nam files or an IR pack?
Tap a block, then Import .nam or Import IR. You can pick several files or a whole folder; a pack keeps its folders. Use Choose from Library to reuse anything you imported. IR packs often come as ZIP files: tap the ZIP in the Files app to unzip it first.
Other apps
How do I use MoreMetal as an Audio Unit?
- Open MoreMetal once, so its presets are shared with the plugin. Stop its audio in I/O.
- In the host (Loopy Pro, AUM, Logic Pro for iPad…), add MoreMetal as an effect on the input or track your guitar is on.
- Open the plugin and choose a preset.
GarageBand lists Audio Unit effects in a track's Plug-ins slots, not on the External instruments page.
Does the Set List play my Apple Music tracks through the amp?
No. Songs play alongside your guitar so you can play alone with them; the music never goes through the chain. Set lists need an Apple Music subscription.
